MD Poll: And the Winners Are ...

As you can tell by their expressions, Ellen Page, Daniel Day-Lewis, Javier Bardem and Cate Blanchett sure were surprised to hear they won the Academy Awards ... as voted on by you, the Movie Dearest readers, that is.

Following in line with, well, most everyone else, the men handedly won in their categories, with 46.4% of the vote for Day-Lewis and a whopping 59.1% (the most for any of the nominees in all five polls) for Bardem. And while the Supporting Actress race is the tightest of all the majors at the real Oscars, Blanchett easily scored here with 41.2%; it was the Best Actress contest that was the closest, with Page narrowly edging past Marion Cotillard by just 2%.

As for Best Picture, No Country for Old Men was victorious with 33.15 of the vote, with Atonement (25.5%) and There Will Be Blood (20.2%) close behind. For the complete rundown of the stats for all five polls, see the comments section below, and click here to vote in the latest MD Poll.
