Hello Film Fans and Fanatics!
Welcome to Film Fan Fridays for Friday January 9, 2009. We are certainly seeing the signs of early January. Here in the T-Dot it's a variety of ever changing but always chilly weather, most recently with the fun bonus of slush, ice pellets and snow all in the past few days. We are also graced with only a lonely 2 new releases. But, there is some cheer coming on the weekend for those of us who are yippie-ki-yaying the beginning of awards season with the 66th Golden Globes Awards arriving on the small screen this Sunday January 11th, 2009 at 8pm EST on NBC. Need to prep for the event with a nominations list? Click here and take your pick from a variety of different kinds. I'll be watching and twittering live through the event to spread the word on the all the film awards and news.
No limited releases this week, but we do have the wedding comedy Bride Wars and horror film The Unborn in wide release. I know I should probably catch up with numerous December releases for not only the Globes but the upcoming Oscars but I can't resist seeing The Unborn, it looks creepy and scary which feels like fun to me!
Have a great weekend!
Shannon
