Movie Dearest MySpace Friend of the Week: Norma Desmond

Who knew that after all these years, the greatest star of them all, famed silent movie queen Norma Desmond (remember her? She used to be big) has made a comeback ... oops, a return ... and can be found, not on Sunset Boulevard, but on MySpace.

Ever eager to grace her adoring public (those wonderful people out there in the dark) with her glamorous presence (she is, you will recall, always ready for that close up), Miss Desmond lists among her interests guns, swimming and astrology, but not reading ... after all, who needs words when you got a face like that. Oh, and sorry boys, but she's taken; her current beau is a hunky screenwriter named Joe, who likes to tease her by playing dead in the pool. What a scamp ... and what a catch! She would just go nuts if he left her, you know.

So congratulations, Norma: Dig up that chimp, put on your best dress (white or pink ... maybe red ... yes, bright flaming red! Make it gay!) and take another tango on the tiles ... you are this week's Movie Dearest MySpace Friend of the Week!
