I'm a little surprized The Final Destination takes the triple crown this week, with Inglourious Basterds sitting neatly in the number 2 spot in its 2nd week. Rob Zombie's Halloween II lands in the top 5 in Canada and North America, and has not yet been released in the UK. Taking Woodstock debuts at 9 in North America but did not make it into the top 20. Feels like a strange end of summer week, and I wonder if Sept 5, 2009 will feel just as strange. After that we have the always odd two weekend during TIFF in Toronto that are a mix of almost no releases with films at TIFF and opening in regular theatres (Jennifer's Body, The Informant!)with almost no theatres showing anything new because it is TIFF. But, until then... there is always Gamer.
