DVD Releases for May 11, 2010

Tuesday time which means it's time to check out the weekly DVD releases for this week on May 11, 2010. We start of strong with two 2010 release that I really enjoyed: urban vampire flick Daybreakers starring Ethan Hawke & Willem Dafoe along with fallen angel taking up arms (via Paul Bettany) in Legion. Both films have a fun action feel to them and I hope to pick up both of them very soon!

We also have this week Tidal Wave / Haeundae (vlog review) a South Korean disaster film that's got a great combo of effects and emotion although may err on the side of saccharin for some. If feeling more vengeance moody you can always try Mel Gibson's latest Edge of Darkness (vlog review) which surpassed my expectations. For a completely different taste theres the French comedy Soeur Sourire / Sister Smile, recently screened at Cinefranco.

Several special editions out this week including Fritz Lang's classic M (1931) being released on Criterion Blu Ray, for TV choices there is Daria Complete Animated Series and if you are looking forward to the June 18, 2010 release of Toy Story 3 you can relive the first two in the series in their new Special Edition releases of Toy Story and Toy Story 2.

More animated goodness is out with releases of Battle for Terra along with Edison and Leo.
